Gadsden County to Unveil Veterans Memorial Monument

Gadsden County to Unveil Veterans Memorial Monument

On Thursday, November 1, 2018, the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners will unveil the newly placed Veterans Memorial Monument located on the Gadsden County Courthouse lawn. The ceremony will begin at 5 p.m.

The Gadsden County Veterans Memorial Monument will serve as the County’s only veteran monument that recognizes all branches of the military on the Gadsden County Courthouse Square. The monument will also be accentuated by beautiful landscaping, as well as benches for citizens to sit, reflect, and honor all Gadsden County citizens who have served in the United States Military.

This architectural plan also relocates the current monument, which reads, “In memory of Gadsden County Veterans who gave their lives during the Korean Conflict, Vietnam Era, Grenada, Lebanon, Panama, Persian Gulf”, to the southeast quadrant of the courthouse.

Light refreshments will be served.
