Gadsden County Urges Citizens to Take Extreme Precaution as Hurricane Michael Strengthens

Gadsden County Emergency Management Officials urgently remind citizens to take extreme precaution and evacuate to safety or shelters as Hurricane Michael approaches the area. Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall Wednesday, October 10 as a Category 3 or 4 hurricane.

Mandatory Curfew

A mandatory curfew for Gadsden County has been issued from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., effective immediately until further notice.

This restriction does not apply to any law enforcement officers, military personnel assigned for hurricane disaster duties, emergency medical personnel.

Mobile Home Evacuation

Gadsden County Emergency Board of County Commissioners has issued a mandatory evacuation for all mobile homes in the Midway, Quincy, Havana, Greensboro, Gretna and Chattahoochee city limits and unincorporated areas of the county.
