Gadsden County Accepting Applications for Citizen Advisory Committees

Recognizing that engaging the public is key for effective implementation of service improvements, Gadsden County is currently accepting applications for Citizen Advisory Committees. Citizen Advisory Committees are the avenue in which citizens from diverse backgrounds can provide judicious advice, from a unique and distinctive perspective.

Advisory Boards and Committees offer citizens a chance to be involved in the County’s decision-making processes by providing input on important matters. Gadsden County fills advisory committee vacancies as they occur. Membership is voluntary and unpaid and appointments to each advisory committee are made by the Board of County Commissioners.

All applications are reviewed by the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners who then make the final committee appointments. If selected for appointment/re-appointment, committee members are expected to commit to the term set by the Citizen Advisory Committee. Should citizens apply for a committee that does not currently have availability, applications will be held on file for one year until there is a vacancy.

Citizens may apply online to be considered for a position on the committee of their choice at
