FDOT's Gadsden County Citizen's Plan 2019-2023 Tentative Work Program

WHAT IS THE WORK PROGRAM?

The Five-Year Work Program is the result of an ongoing process that prioritizes and funds upcoming transportation system improvements programmed during the next five years and is prepared in accordance with Section 339.135, Florida Statutes. The development of the Work Program involves extensive coordination with local governments, including Metropolitan Planning Organizations, city and county officials and input from citizens to select road, transit, and enhancement projects that maintain and improve safety, reduce congestion, and increase mobility.  FDOT has been granted authority by the Florida Legislature to commit / expend funds on projects in the first year of the Work Program. The last four years of the work program are included for planning purposes. The Five-Year Work Program provides clear direction on what projects to program, where to build projects, when to build projects, and how to fund projects.

The current Adopted Five-Year Work Program covers Fiscal Years 2018 through 2022 (projects programmed July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022) and was adopted on July 1, 2017.

The Tentative Five-Year Work Program, attached below, includes projects scheduled for Fiscal Years 2019 through 2023 (projects programmed July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2023). After the public comment period ends, the Tentative Work Program is reviewed by the Florida Legislature and the Governor and adopted by the State Secretary of Transportation on July 1, 2018.
