County Administrator, Robert Presnell, was appointed in October 2012 and is the highest ranking non-elected official employed by the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners.
Prior to being appointed to his current position as County Administrator, Mr. Presnell worked as the Gadsden County Public Works Director for 14 years. His duties and responsibilities are overseen by the County Commissioners and he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our County Government. One of his top priorities is to ensure that each BOCC Department provides inclusive services that meet the ever-changing needs of our residents. Just as the Board is responsible and accountable to the citizens, so is the County Administrator.
Among Mr. Presnell's goals as County Administrator is his desire to see unity reflected internally within our County government and externally among the leaders that make up each of our local municipalities.
"As Gadsden County continues to move forward, we will strive to be a government that is both transparent and accessible for all of our residents. We will continue to make our day to day processes less tedious for our residents as we work to improve the services we provide."
"It is our desire to always ensure our citizens that they have a voice in our County Government, and it's a voice we want to hear. We encourage every citizen to take full advantage of our new website format and utilize all the tools here that makes communicating with BOCC Departments more efficient and thorough."
