5.      PUBLIC HEARING-Final Plat Review –Palms Subdivision--SD-2005-04

 

This Public Hearing is called to consider a request for Final Plat approval for “Palms” Subdivision on a 24.0 acre parcel in the Rural Residential (RR) land use district, located on the south side of Providence Road  west of CR 65 –Latasha Murray , Owner/Applicant (P & Z 7-13-06)(County Commission 7-18-06)

 

6.      PUBLIC HEARING – Comprehensive Plan Amendment –Peavey and Son Construction Co., Inc. land use amendment –CPA-2006-05 (Small Scale Amendment) 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to consider a request for to amend the Gadsden County Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use Map by changing the adopted land use district designation on a 19.99 acre parcel from Agriculture-3 (AG-3) to Mining (MINING) land use located on the east side of Pat Thomas Parkway approximately one (1) mile south of Sadberry Road and one (1) mile north of Cooks Landing Road south of Wetumpka. 7.      PUBLIC HEARING --– Administrative Land Development Code Amendment – LDR-2006-03 -- Chapter 5, Land Use, Subsection 5003, Non-conforming Uses and Structures Land Development Code

 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to consider a request for to amend the Gadsden County Land Development Code by amending Chapter 5, Development Standards, Section 5000 General Standards, Subsection 5003, Non-Conforming Use and Structures to permit lawfully permitted residential non-conforming uses and structures to be replaced or reconstructed .– Growth Management Department, Applicant (Planning Commission 7-13-06-06) (County Commission 8-29-06)

These items consist of applications that have been submitted to the Growth Management Department for review and will be scheduled for future Planning Commission action. 8.      PUBLIC HEARING –Conceptual/Preliminary Site Plan – Cooks Landing Fire Station-- SP-2006-01

 

         This Public Hearing is called to consider a request for a special exception use and conceptual/preliminary site plan approval for the proposed Cooks Landing Fire Station on a 2.05 acre parcel, in the Rural Residential land use category, located on the east side of Cooks Landing Road and west side of Davidson Drive–Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department, Owner/ Applicant (Planning Commission 7-13-06)(County Commission 8/29/06)

 

9.      PUBLIC HEARINGPreliminary Plat Review –Blueberry Hill Subdivision -- SD-2005-15

 

This Public Hearing is called to consider a request for preliminary plat approval for a 47 unit single family subdivision on a 50.42 acre parcel in the Rural Residential and land use category, located on the east side of US 27 (Georgia-Florida Parkway) south of Glades Road approximately two miles north of Havana.–Linderand, Inc., Owner; Jack Green, Applicant (Planning Commission 8-10-06)(County Commission 9-5-06)

 

10.    PUBLIC HEARING – Visioning Exercise Draft Report

 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to present the findings of the recent Community Visioning exercises conducted throughout the county in May and June 2006 and to present options for future action and identify strategies to propose plan or Comprehensive Plan or Land Development Code amendments to implement community needs and desires.– (Planning Commission 8-10-06) (County Commission 8-29-06)

 

11.    PUBLIC HEARING – School Board and Local Government Inter-local Agreement Amendment

 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to present proposed amendments to the existing Gadsden County Interlocal Agreement for Public School Facility Planning to include school concurrency provisions and other coordination and capital facility planning provisions. – (Planning Commission 8-10-06) (County Commission 8-29-06)

 

12.    PUBLIC HEARING – Administrative Land Development Code Amendment – Chapter 5, Subsection 5400, Land Development Code – Natural Resource Protection Standards – LDR-2006-03 

 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to consider a request for to amend the Gadsden County Land Development Code by amending Chapter 5, Development Standards, Section 5400, Natural Resource Protection Standards and Subsections 5401-5405, repealing existing landscape and vegetation preservation standards and adopting new standards for the preservation and design and construction of landscape improvements within the county.– Growth Management Department Applicant (Planning Commission) (County Commission)

 

13.    PUBLIC HEARING – Administrative Land Development Code Amendment –Chapter 5, Section 5700  Signs, Subsection 5705, Billboard Prohibition --Land Development Code – LDR-2006-04 

 

         This Public Hearing is scheduled to consider a request for to amend the Gadsden County Land Development Code by amending Chapter 2, Definitions and Interpretations, Chapter 5, Development Standards, Section 5700 Signs, amending subsection 5705, Billboard Prohibition, to permit and regulate the placement, height, number, size and location and other design standards for billboards in the county. -- Growth Management Department, Applicant
